Let the fun begin! Keep your children busy on a summer afternoon with these festive 4th of July crafts.
Patriotic Sand Candles. Children who are about 10 and up should be able to make these beautiful candles. The bonus is that once completed, they will be beautiful as centerpieces for your 4th of July picnic. The supplies are inexpensive and easy to find. A;l you do is layer colored sand using a funnel–easy! Have the kids practice a bit with one color until they get the hang of it.

Firecracker Tie Dye Shirt. Let the kids make matching t-shirts to wear on the 4th of July. Easy to make and so cute! This craft can be a little messy so either cover all the surfaces before dying or make it outside.

Preschool Fireworks Art. Use pipe cleaners to create a fireworks "stamp" and then let the little ones dip the "stamp" into paint and press onto paper. The resulting print looks like fireworks!
