Are you ready for some football? How about a Family Football Party? With a little prep time, you can plan an afternoon of football, food and fun that all ages will enjoy!
We have ideas for decorations, food, and party games to keep kids who may not be interested in the game happy for hours.
DECORATIONS:
Chalkboard Concession Sign: Write out the menu on a small blackboard and prop it on the food table. If you don't have one in the house, pick one up inexpensively at Michael's or Joann's. You'll find a use for it later. (see photo in slideshow)
Utensil holders. These easy to make utensil holders are large cans sprayed with brown paint and finished with white paint "laces." Have the kids make 3 of them ahead of time. (see photo in slideshow)
Plastic Cup Labels. Keep things organized by printing out these cute labels and affixing to plastic cups. It keeps waste to a minimum and adds to the festive decor. The link also has other cute printables with a football theme including popcorn containers.

Football Themed Decorations: This site has a few good ideas for football parties--astro turf coasters anyone?
FOOD:
Deviled Egg "Footballs." Use your favorite deviled egg recipe and then add chives for laces. Popular, easy to make and kids love them!

Grilled Cheese Footballs. I'm not a fan of pumpkin chili but I think these grilled cheese football sandwiches are super cute. Grill up a batch to serve with the Super Quick Chili recipe below.

Super Quick Chili. Make your main dish an easy one that you can make ahead of time and serve easily. This delicious chili fits the bill. You can hollow out small bread bowls to serve or ladle into large mugs. Either way, it will keep your guests happy!
