1. Sky Zone Indoor Trampoline Park
Thrill seekers will love this indoor trampoline park in Fort Myers. 3. Calusa Nature Center and Planetarium
Cool off under the nighttime sky during the day in the only planetarium in Southwest Florida. Educational shows usually are featured at 1:30 and 3 pm daily. Spend the rest of your visit enjoying the Nature Center’s butterfly and bird aviaries, wild animal exhibits, nature trails and gift shop. The monthly Space Racers Program for children age 3-8 occurs on August 19th at 10:00 am and includes a Space Racers TV segment and hands-on activity (requires reservation). Open daily. 4. Broadway PalmDinner Theatre
Dinner is at noon and the show is at 1:00 pm at the Broadway Palm’s Children’s Theatre where the final show of the summer, “The Little Mermaid,” runs through August 2. The kid-friendly buffet and show are $18 for all ages. Older children and adults will enjoy the spectacular musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” which runs through August 9. Summer special ticket price for children 18 and under is $18 for the buffet dinner and the show; matinee and evening prices for adults are $49-$58. Tickets for the show only are $35/$18 children.

5. Ice Skating at Germain Arena
The water at Germain Arena is the frozen kind and skating on it is perhaps the best way to stay cool and dry in August. You will need a jacket and maybe even gloves as you glide on the ice under the flashing disco ball and laser lights listening to top 20 tunes. Saturday evenings are the best package deal (and a teen and tween favorite) with skate rental, pizza and a drink for $8; Friday and Sunday sessions are just $5 including skates.
