conservancy snake
This is a great time to visit the Dalton Discovery Center at Conservancy of Southwest Florida Nature Center and learn all about snakes and the other creatures that call southwest Florida their home. The Dalton Discovery Center is home to over 100 animals, including a live loggerhead sea turtle and a variety of snakes – an Eastern Indigo Snake, a Pine Snake and a Red Rat Snake.
Guests can participate in the “Reptile Reverie” program to learn more about reptiles, including the native snakes of Florida, which ones are endangered and why they are so important to our environment. The program features a live snake or alligator.
The new entrance to Conservancy of Southwest Florida Nature Center, Smith Preserve Way, is located just south of the Naples Zoo off Goodlette-Frank Road. The Conservancy Nature Center is open 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday – Saturday. Adult admission is $12.95. Admission for children 12 and under is $8.95.
