5. SO YOU ARE NOT TEMPTED TO EAT THEIR LEFTOVERS
It’s the same every year in my home. Our kids accumulate a large supply of candy trick or treating. After Halloween, my wife and I tell them to pick a few of their favorites, and then give them a mini-lecture about sugar and cavities. We intend to throw the rest away, but how is it that we end up secretly snacking on their leftovers?
4. AVOID CAVITIES & BROKEN BRACKETS
Jawbreakers, caramels, and gummy worms are tempting. But if you’re wearing braces, these sticky and hard candies are on the forbidden food list during treatment. Even before and after braces, it’s no secret that eating sugary foods combined with improper brushing leads to cavities.
3. EARN A LITTLE SPENDING MONEY
For every one pound of candy you bring to our office after Halloween, we’ll give you $1.00–up to 5 pounds. Bring your unwanted candy to The Brace Place, or find out if your child’s dentist is doing a candy buy-back this year.
2. BE A PART OF “OPERATION GRATITUDE”
Everyone loves a surprise care package in the mail… especially the men and women of the U.S. Military. This year we’re teaming up with “Operation Gratitude” to send your candy to our troops. And when you drop off your candy at The Brace Place, we’ll also provide cards you can sign to express your gratitude to the men and women who serve our country. 1. WE’LL MATCH YOUR DONATION AND GIVE
For every dollar we pay you, we’ll also give a matching donation to Helps Outreach. This Naples charity gives food, clothing, and other items to children and families in need, without charge.
You can drop off your candy at The Brace Place from November 3rd through the 6th between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The office is located at 5641 Naples Blvd. For more information call (239) 592-6300.
