If possible, start with a smaller table sized just for the kids. Little ones will be much more comfortable if their feet touch the floor. And, if the kids are comfortable, they will most likely stay put longer.
1. Silhouette Table Covering.
Start off the decorating with this adorable silhouette table covering. It's easily made with Kraft paper (available in rolls at Michael's) and the templates you'll find on the site. It works best for a rectangular table but can also be made for a square one.
Draw a "place mat" sized rectangle at each place setting so that each child can decorate their own spot.

2. Crayon Votive. Give each child a decorated crayon votive so they can decorate their spot. It will keep them occupied for the last few minutes before dinner is served.

3. Finger Stamp Place Cards. Have your kids make one of these cute cards for each guests ahead of time. All it takes is a little orange and yellow acrylic paint, some google eyes and a folded piece of cardboard plus their thumbs!

4. Paper Bag Turkey Centerpiece. Make this cute paper bag turkey centerpiece ahead of time. It's filled with popcorn and the kids will love "slicing" into it after dinner.

5. Sweet Treat Bag. These cute little treat bags are easy to make and you can put just about anything inside–a cookie or two, small gifts or a snack mix for children to munch on later. Plastic sandwich bags, double sided bags, cardboard and a stamp or two are all you need.
