Okay, so maybe it’s not brand new like its North Naples counterpart, but the Golden Gate Aquatic Complex is full of fun and has been cooling off Collier families for years. In addition to a very large pool with laps and diving boards, there is also an activity pool with fountains and faucets for the little ones. The bigger and braver kids and adults can head over to the two water slides that plunge you into darkness before spitting you out into a pool of crisp clean water. Lockers and a concession stand are available on site.

This is a fun spot for hot days and best of all it’s free! The water play area sits next to an extensive playground and features cool water bubbling from pipes and spraying from the ground. Kids are free to explore and can even move back and forth between the water area and the regular playground all within view of a parent.
