Barefoot Beach Preserve: Wednesdays 10 a.m. January through April.
Explore the Coastal Estuaries with a naturalist guided walk to the estuary and along a sandy trail to the beach. Explore one of the most productive ecosystems in nature and the unique coastal habitats at the Preserve. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring water, and wear sun protection for this 2+ hour walk. Naturalist Walks and Talks sponsored by Friends of Barefoot Beach Preserve. Program cost: Free. There is an entrance fee into the park for those who do not have a current Collier County park permit. Directions: Turn south off of Bonita Beach Road onto Barefoot Beach Blvd. go about 1 ½ miles to park entrance. Park in the first parking area on the right and meet at the Learning Center. Approximately a 2 hour walk.
